Flaxseed pudding

There comes a time when we find that the longer ride on carbohydrates made us somehow lose our racing weight. It’s easy to just cut calories, throw out all carbohydrates for a few weeks and chew only lettuce. The trick is to make it in a way that the mere thought of another „ascetic” meal makes you drool!

And so, my experiments  led me to another recipe that can be safely used during the period of reduction – ground flax pudding! Bizarre idea? Maybe so, but a tasty one and still nutritionally rich.

FLAXSEED

Flaxseed contains a lot of polyunsaturated fatty acids of the omega-3 family, soluble and insoluble fiber, zinc, magnesium, iron, vitamin E, lecithin, and flavonoids.

It is recommended for diseases such as bronchitis, ulcers, cough, skin disorders and burns. It regenerates the skin and mucous membranes and reduces levels of bad cholesterol.

RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 teaspoons of low-fat ground flax (ok. 10 g)*
  • 150 ml milk (regular or plant one)
  • 2 stevia sweeteners

*You can use simple flaxseeds, grinding them yourself beforehand.

PREPARATION:

  1. Boil milk and add the sweetener.
  2. Reduce the heat to minimum, add ground flax and stir vigorously until the mixture thickens.
  3. Add any flavor (eg. vanilla) to taste and serve.
